I Love RHUBARB!! Rhubarb sauce, rhubarb dumplings, rhubarb cake, rhubarb pudding, and lots more are a spring tonic to wake up your taste buds from the root vegetables of winter! Rhubarb is the first “fruit” of the season.

The earth has come ALIVE with new flavors! rhubarb says, “Wake UP! Have fun! Spring has sprung!” My grandmother cooked rhubarb sauce and then put it on vanilla ice cream,- simple and yummy! I love pairing it with raspberry, putting in on meats, in a barbecue sauce, and in a myriad of desserts.  Rhubarb’s complexity of taste always reminds me of the complexities of life as well.  Is it a vegetable or a fruit? The Rhubarbs of life–how complicated can it be? In the meantime, take time to Taste, to LIVE, to ENJOY LIFE!
