This simple recipe is one of the most popular that we serve to our guests during breakfast.
- 1 1/3 cups oats (must use old fashioned, steel cut; never use quick oats)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or maple sugar
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cups milk
- Stir all ingredients together in large overproof bowl or 8×8-inch pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Serve in bowls with milk.
