The Liberty Hill Center for Agricultural Education is a non-profit 501 c3 organization dedicated to fostering an understanding and appreciation of local agriculture and its invaluable role in our communities.

Generations ago, communities held strong relationships with the numerous family farms that dotted America’s landscapes. Multiple factors have led to the decline in farms across the country, further widening the gap between farm and table. From about 83,000 dairy farms in the United States in 2000, only about 40,000 remain. While that still may seem like a large number, it still means that Americans are much further removed from food production than ever before.

LHCAE works to rekindle the relationship between local consumers and farmers. We run programs designed to bring producer and consumer together, focusing especially on youth.
